Hi.
So the way I understand, is that there is a concept of Shavuot, Nedarim, and making a chazzaka in the the Torah that can have a binding nature on a person. However, also I heard there is something called making a brit/covenant with someone else as well.
As in the Brit HaBetarim:
וַיֹּ֣אמֶראֵלָ֗יוקְחָ֥הלִי֙עֶגְלָ֣המְשֻׁלֶּ֔שֶׁתוְעֵ֥זמְשֻׁלֶּ֖שֶׁתוְאַ֣יִלמְשֻׁלָּ֑שׁוְתֹ֖רוְגוֹזָֽל׃
וַיִּֽקַּֽח־ל֣וֹאֶת־כׇּל־אֵ֗לֶּהוַיְבַתֵּ֤ראֹתָם֙בַּתָּ֔וֶךְוַיִּתֵּ֥ןאִישׁ־בִּתְר֖וֹלִקְרַ֣אתרֵעֵ֑הוּוְאֶת־הַצִּפֹּ֖רלֹ֥אבָתָֽר׃

The consept of Brit in Devarim 29:13
:וְלֹ֥אאִתְּכֶ֖םלְבַדְּכֶ֑םאָנֹכִ֗יכֹּרֵת֙אֶת־הַבְּרִ֣יתהַזֹּ֔אתוְאֶת־הָאָלָ֖ההַזֹּֽאת
כִּי֩אֶת־אֲשֶׁ֨ריֶשְׁנ֜וֹפֹּ֗העִמָּ֙נוּ֙עֹמֵ֣דהַיּ֔וֹםלִפְנֵ֖ייְהֹוָ֣האֱלֹהֵ֑ינוּוְאֵ֨תאֲשֶׁ֥ראֵינֶ֛נּוּפֹּ֖העִמָּ֥נוּהַיּֽוֹם׃
Deut 29:13
So does the Torah or Talmud explain any concept of this idea of making a Brit with another person though at all? What's the whole thing with making a brit/covenant? Isn't an oath enough of a promise? Also is there any halacha on how to make a brit with another person if you want to or like Aggadah or more stories for more about this concept?
